Please see our frequently asked questions to help you prepare for a great day on the water
Q: Where do we meet?
A: On our full day charters we usually meet at 26 Wagtail Ct, Howard Springs, NT, 0835 or can organise a lift if required. Our half days we meet at one of the local boat ramps which we will advise on.
Q: What’s the difference between Barramundi and Bluewater fishing?
A: The elusive barramundi, or “Barra” as locals like to call them are the most famous across the Top End and one to be put on the bucket list. Barramundi are an awesome fish to catch but sometimes patience is required as they only feed during certain periods. They are a great trophy catch but if you are after more action the Bluewater will produce more bites.
Our Bluewater fishing charters are an exciting time on the water with a wide variety of fish to guide you to including Golden Snapper, Jewfish, Spanish Mackerel, Sailfish, Tuna, Red Emperor, Coral Trout and a host of other sport fish. A thrilling experience, you will be guided to the prime spots to reel in some fish to tick off your bucket list to enjoy later on.
Q: What do we need to bring?
A: Please bring a hat, long pants, long sleeved shirt, sunscreen, mosquito repellent and BYO alcohol (cans preferred). Best to come well prepared to avoid getting bitten by sandflies and mozzies, and avoid getting sunburnt. With all of this – you will be setup for a fantastic day on the water.
Q: Can we keep the fish we catch?
A: Yes, you can keep your fish to take home and enjoy! We will fillet and bag up all your fish and can even organise travel boxes to take some fillets home if desired.
Q: What’s included?
A: Our full day charters are all inclusive of equipment, meals, water and refreshments. Just BYO alcohol. Our half day charters don’t include lunch but include equipment, water and refreshments.
Q: Who can I call if I get lost, or am running late?
A: Call Lincoln on 0419 916 638.
Q: Are children able to come on the fishing charter?
A: Our fishing guides are very experienced with taking children on the charter and take many families onboard every year. Fishing under supervision can be enjoyed by all members of the family.
Q: Where do we go fishing?
A: Our fishing guides are very experienced local fishing experts, have been fishing in the Top End for over a decade and will take you to the best spots to angle your catch! We fish across Dundee, Darwin region, Shady Camp, Daly River and a host of other areas.
Q: What’s the boat like?
A: We have a brand new 7.5m Contender that everyone absolutely loves! It’s comfortable, rides beautifully, has shade, a toilet and awesome stereo. Our other fishing vessel is a 6.1m Quintrex Top Ender that is perfect for Barra Fishing. It has a car fridge on board to keep everything cool, awesome sounder and mini Kota electric motor to put us in the spot.
